Even though the continent down under is known for its harsh environment, it is capable of yielding gentle things, such as this Australian Eucalyptus black tea blend.

A well rounded, medium strength CTC* black tea from the lush misty hills of Far North Queensland Australia, is blended with the uplifting freshness of aromatic Australian blue gum eucalyptus leaves, to deliver an everyday companion with an unexpected, rare taste.

*CRUSH, TEAR CURL refers to a method of processing black tea, where tea leaves are run through a series of cylindrical rollers that crush, tear, and curl the leaves.

This CTC method is different from “orthodox” tea manufacturing, in which the tea leaves are simply rolled into strips.

It steeps up a deep ruby-colored liquid with a rich malty flavor tending toward the bitter side. It takes milk well & can usually use a bit of sugar or other sweeteners.

BREWING GUIDE:
Duration: 4-5 minutes
Temperature: 100C° (full boil)
Amount: 2.5g or 1 tsp per cup

BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS:

If you like your tea brewed stronger or weaker, adjust the amount of tea leaves than what the brewing directions call for. Brewing your tea too long can extract an undesirable bitterness from the leaves
Loose leaf tea can typically be steeped multiple times. However, each steeping will yield a slightly lighter flavor than the previous.
To brew in a large teapot, increase the amount of loose leaf tea to match the total cups of water you’re using.
