SENCHA | China | Green Tea
The Chinese rendition of the famed Sencha green tea, plucked in spring from the tea terraces of the Zhejiang Province, this blend is perfect for green tea aficionados.
China Sencha owes its flavour to the distinct method it is prepared. As the raw leaves are harvested, it is immediately steamed, dried, & rolled which produce long, flat, emerald green leaves. Once brewed, drinkers can expect a mild & finely spicy taste from the green-yellow cup.
DURATION: 3-4 minutes
TEMPERATURE: 75C°- 80C°. No thermometer? Bring water to a boil, then cool for 2 minutes.
AMOUNT: 2.5g or 1 tsp per cup
- If you like your tea brewed stronger or weaker, adjust the amount of tea leaves.
- Brewing your tea too long can extract an undesirable bitterness from the leaves.
- Loose leaf tea can typically be steeped multiple times. However, each steeping will yield a slightly lighter flavor than the previous.
- To brew in a large teapot, increase the amount of loose leaf tea to match the total cups of water you’re using.
