An aromatic & rich herbal blend of chai spices: cardamom pods, cloves, ginger and cinnamon.
A delightful warming beverage that delivers healthful benefits to the body, supporting joint & gut health, strengthens the nervous system, & promotes inner calmness & serenity, opening the world of Ayurveda as a philosophy.
Pairs perfectly with milk (or other milk substitutes) & a dash of honey, or lovely just on its own. Add a hint of black tea for an extra energy boost (add on the final 3-4 minutes of steeping).
Perfect when you want to pause, reflect, & find inspiration for the soul.
Please note: We do not offer the above as instruction, only as information. Always check with your health practitioner if you have a medical condition. If you are pregnant, you should not drink herbal tea without your doctor’s consent, as some herbs can stimulate uterine contractions.
Duration: 10 minutes (cover pot or cup to keep the heat longer)
Temperature: 100C° (full boil)
Amount: 1 tbsp (2.5g) per cup
For a stronger Chai flavor, simmer your water & tisanes together for 5-10 minutes.
- If you like your tisane brewed stronger or weaker, adjust the amount of leaves than what the brewing directions call for. Brewing your tisane too long can extract an undesirable bitterness from the leaves
- Tisanes can typically be steeped multiple times. However, each steeping will yield a slightly lighter flavor than the previous.
- To brew in a large teapot, increase the amount of loose leaf to match the total cups of water you’re using.
