KENILWORTH ESTATE | Ceylon Supreme | BOP1 Black Tea | Wholesale
*BOP1 stands for "Broken Orange Pekoe 1". Orange Pekoe does not indicate a flavor, instead this is used to indicate the grade of the tea.
Considered to be the hallmark of Sri Lankan (formerly Ceylon) medium grown teas, the Kenilworth Estate enjoys seasonal monsoons & brilliant sunshine, producing one of the finest Ceylon teas.
Select tender leaves picked after the first monsoon & processed during cooler weather, result in a creamy character unique to this estate. It’s long, pine-needle shaped leaves impart a smooth & delicate body, plus the distinctive subtle aroma of oak that this tea is famous for.
A classic Ceylon with an exquisite flavour that any enthusiast should have in their collection.
BREWING GUIDE:
Duration: 3-4 minutes
Temperature: 100C° (full boil)
Amount: 2.5gm or 1 teaspoon per cup
BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS:
- If you like your tea brewed stronger or weaker, adjust the amount of tea leaves than what the brewing directions call for. Brewing your tea too long can extract an undesirable bitterness from the leaves
- Loose leaf tea can typically be steeped multiple times. However, each steeping will yield a slightly lighter flavor than the previous.
- To brew in a large teapot, increase the amount of loose leaf tea to match the total cups of water you’re using.
