You go for the old movie, not because of a lack of options, but for the promise of a great time. That’s often the case when choosing to brew a cup Earl Grey Cream. You know you’ll have a cup that won’t fall short of your expectations.
A classic blend of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) Earl Grey with its Italian bergamot citrus notes, mellowed by the distinct creamy character of black tea from Yunnan (China) province, the birthplace of tea.
Perfect on its own or with a dash of milk to bring out extra richness in the cup.
Duration: 4-5 minutes
Temperature: 100C° (full boil)
Amount: 2.5g or 1 tsp per cup
- If you like your tea brewed stronger or weaker, adjust the amount of tea leaves than what the brewing directions call for. Brewing your tea too long can extract an undesirable bitterness from the leaves
- Loose leaf tea can typically be steeped multiple times. However, each steeping will yield a slightly lighter flavor than the previous.
- To brew in a large teapot, increase the amount of loose leaf tea to match the total cups of water you’re using.
